That night Emily was rudely awakened, the burglar alarm sounded, but that was no reason to wait for the local police to arrive. It may have been against her nature but, qualified to apprehend burglars, Emily decided to tackle Raheem Jude herself. Despite the annoying alarm it took Emily seconds to take Raheem down, at which point Katie Leone arrived to take care of him too. At Emily's weekend party, while everyone was mesmerised by Iqbal Alvi's guitar, Emily proposed to Lane. He said "yes". The party was epic, so, in need of a wind-down, Emily painted and, of course, headed to the gym. She had been asked to push herself to the point of fatigue to earn a nice cash prize. So engrossed in her routine she was that Emily, might have, forgotten to get to a toilet in a safe amount of time.
After the excitement of the weekend things were back to normal at work, as "back to normal" a day for an undercover specialist chef could be that was.
The stadium was after Emily again, this time they offered her a position on par with her own, but she still declined. That day she was promoted to special agent. Feeling elated, Emily ran to the gym and decided to have a proper go at becoming fatigued from exercise. Working out until fatigued took Emily a lot longer than it used to and she was hungry and smelly before she tired herself out as desired.
Despite being attractive, Emily still wasn't able to persuade Lane to help her try for a baby and once again she felt reprimanded by life for trying to rush things. She had learned part of her lesson though and she and Lane held a private wedding then and there in her hallway.

Despite having twenty-one days until his birthday, Lane decided to celebrate his transition to an elder. Octavia Ursine found Lane's transition funny, but Lane didn't think he'd done too badly himself. In the town, the conference of policing professionals had come to City Hall and Emily was asked to attend the conference to help make her better at her job. After work Emily and Lane got together to enjoy their newly married status and afterwards headed to the library to write their respective report and novel.
Lane was given a raise and a promotion to automated spell checker checker. After work he headed to the library again. Meanwhile Emily developed a bump from her marital activities, her thoughts went straight to all the relaxation she'd be needing. Regardless, she headed to her conference which she wished she could attend every day, she was going to miss her work.
At the weekend Emily asked Geoffrey Landgraab the gender of her baby. She was pleased to find out that it'd be a girl, a continuation of the Smith legacy. After the party Lane headed to the library to work on "The Quantum Malfactor" though writing didn't hold his attention for very long and he ended up reading the library's copy of "Commitment Issues". Emily headed to the gym in hopes of fatiguing herself from pumping iron.

Baby!! :D I'm surprised he agreed to marriage but yay, baby!
ReplyDeleteMe too, I think, with his commitment issues he decided that, if he were to become committed to Emily, the least he could do was do it 'right', getting married before having a child.
